I had up to 5 or 6 pedals at my feet but now I want a simple BCB-3 set up.
Simple is good! Nice!

Nice selection of pedals there! Very, very compact for the number of effects.
Thanks.

It's always a balance sounds > weight > ease of footswitch/brain strain!

My current bass pedalboard, a TC electronic mini hypergravity, the Ibanez BB-9 and and MXR bass preamp, powered by a Harley Benton powerplant.
Nothing too fancy, I'm almost tempted to make the board itself smaller.

Oh, your BOSS BF-2 didn't make it on the board anymore? I thought that this delivered your favourite chorus sound with bass.

Yes, but I kind of quit using any modulation effects in the band really. Because it always gets muffled by other instruments and audiences never care anyway 😂

The easier, the better these days.

I totally get that. Bass effects are often wasted time, because many people don't recognize them.

I see people show up with huge pedalboards, both guitarists and bass players by the way, and I know from the start that
(a They're not gonna use half of it, and
(b when they do hit a pedal, their sound doesn't change!

"I only use this pedal for one song", my advice? Leave it at home

My brother is a good anti-example of this, he's one of the guitar players in our covers band.
He only uses a 2 channel amp for clean or dirty, regardless of how much dirt the original player used and it always sounds just fine.
His only pedals are a wah and a GE-7 in the loop for solo boost. That's really all you need.
The rhythm guitar player only has a TU-2 and a channel switcher.

I went to a jam seession a few months back - a small bar, tiny stage. A Reggae hippie chap turned up with a pallet, and actual massive unapinted wooden pallet for forklifts, with at least 4 rows of pedals. It took up more than half the stage! All I heard was the DD-3 and the wah!
