Yes, agreed, I like the PS-5 ish look and despite being curious about the original SLicer the size held me back. Might be a funky new toyPepe wrote: ↑Tue Nov 01, 2022 9:20 amOh, I didn't expect a return of the Slicer! I always thought that it flopped in the Twin Pedal format.
A big plus is (as in the case of the otherwise not-overwhelming OC-5) that it has the looks of the late '80s and '90s BOSS four-knob-pedals again. Black faceplate, black knobs: a classic look that I like a lot.

Ah, yes, of course. Thanks, I completely missed that one (had checked some other recent ones I thought might have it, like the SY-1, RE-2 etc).
Re: New Boss pedal SL-2 Slicer
I'd been hoping for a PN-2w / PN-3 with tap tempo but maybe this would be a suitable alternative and make either of those less likely.

snagged up an MD-500, the "user" type slicer seems to have all the stuff SL-2 has but you have to pain stakingly dial it in. Which I am game for!

I really like it and the tremolos are very interesting. So, so many options to explore and then there’s hooking it up with other pedals too.
