SOLD: One last 32TB2 Tonebender for sale
G'day!
Buried in the bin full of stuff I use for prototyping was a transistor that I must have been using to prototype fuzz pedals over 10 years ago - back when I was designing the DingoTone GHF and VFZ. It had the wrong gain for a fuzzface, so it just sat in the bottom of the box for 10+ years.
I fished it out and it has a gain of 102. Perfect for a Tonebender Q3. It would have come from Small Bear and it will be Chinese manufacture. The model is rubbed off, and IIRC it didn't mean anything anyway.
So I can build one last 32TB2 with:
Q1 - Russian MP16B, gain of close to 70
Q2 - Russian MP16B, gain of close to 70
Q3 - Chinese PNP, type unknown, gain of 102
I've used these Chinese transistors in the VFZ and a couple of early GHF pedals, and they sound good. So while this last pedal won't be identical to the other nine, it will still be a good pedal.
Color will be your choice of yellow or a much darker metallic than the other metallic 32TB2 pedals. No... it's yellow.
So this really is the very last 32TB2 pedal if anyone is interested? CAD$120 plus your choice of shipping.

If anyone's umming and ahing, just do it. They're great. Mine hasn't failed to put a stupid grin on my face every time I've used it

Hi laurie, I'm a new member here. I don't have the post count to PM you...
I'm looking for a Tone Bender after hearing my friend play the Boss version that just came out. I love the raspy violin sound it can get. But I'm not sure what the different versions mean. Is this pedal in the same ballpark as the Boss clone?
(Pepe referred me to this thread after I asked about TB's on another forum.)

Is Q3 a TB variant, or is that a component reference? Mongo not smartPerfect for a Tonebender Q3
