The most interesting part of this pedal is the lack of a depth knob. How do you like the overall sound and performance, Laurie?
Yes. One depth and tough if you don't like it.
I bought it because I've never seen one of this series "in the flesh" and it was a good deal.
It definitely isn't a keeper because of the sonic properties. The phase drive waveform is too spikey for my taste and the effect isn't subtle enough.

The people demand a sound clip
I'll see what I can do. Does anyone know if you can upload clips to the forum, or will I need to host it? Hmmm.... I guess there is always spewtube.

It is for sale at the "market price" if anyone is interested. Make me an offer.

Is the internal trimpot a depth control? One of my favourite pedals, the KORG Mr. Multi Phaser/Wah/Double Wah has such a trimpot and it can sound really bad if it isn't properly adjusted.

It is the "bias" control - the set-point for the FETs.

Oh, it takes two batteries! What are the 14-pin ICs? The same OP amps like in the first OD-1?
Two batteries.......just like your Pearl Phaser eh?!

I am a little late with my remarks here, anyway. Surprised you had not see one before Laurie.
Around 2007 Mully did have one for sale here, or maybe it was the Roland flanger.
I guess the sound is not too far off from the sound of the compact PH-1.
What makes me say that?
The CE-1 is not too different from the CE-2. The big difference is you get more options on the CE-1 but its basic sound is very much like the Boss CE-2

I've got the Boss BF-1 Flanger and the Roland AS-1 Sustainer from that series. I like them both a lot. I always keep my eyes out for additions to the set (I do love the form factor) but they are harder to find cheap these days

I have two of these, my first was true bypassed and LED added, the second stock. One has more depth (I can't recall which typing now!), I suspect the trims can be fine tuned as such. The AP-2 shares that very seventies "sweet" sound as the PH-1 to me, quite pronounced. Two on at once is FAT
It's been a while to pull them out, however I always feel the 18v pedals sound fuller.
I was tempted to make up a pedalboard of the that case size type
AF-60 > AS-1 > AP-2 > BF-1!!
