Cool finish, but that's not enough for creating redundancy in my stash.

Re: New Limited Edition 50th Anniversary Pedals
a spot-on assessment!
It's also curious the price point of the BD-2 compared to the SD-1 (regular or otherwise). It possibly made sense pre SMD (perhaps), with parts numbers, but now surely, it's a simple robot SMD filled board. Perhaps simply historical and they can't lower the price.
Anyway, griping aside, I do fancy a shiny metallic blue BD-2 for Xmas! And as much as 7000 seems a lot spread thin worldwide, I would anticipate it'll sell out quickly.

I have no idea why but the DS-1 50th Anniversary model sounds really really good ! It’s the same circuit as any other new DS-1. I must be listening to it through rose tinted ears The other two in the series sound pretty good too.

Is that observation from first hand experience?

Should have known you wouldn't be able to resist
Do you get anything special in the boxes?

Ha ha ! There was never any doubt that I ‘needed’ to have them !
There is a special logo on the front of the box and the same on the side of the pedal. There is nothing extra inside. I thought there would be a certificate with the serial number like xxx / 7000 too but not even that. Pretty bog standard really.
