You don't have to fear that these boards are inside. They definitely have the small SMD boards. That has already been confirmed by bigtone23.

Yeah, it's disappointing that they are just Malaysian SMD BOSS. Granted, they look pretty cool, like they are going to a formal dance, New Year's Eve party, etc...
