Effects Boss haven't done in compact format
I can't think of a single example of a Uni Vibe type in the compact series. They covered many bases but this, IMO, is a serious omission. I guess you could say Leslie sim, too. I know many effects are covered in their other boxes, but it seems strange they never bothered with either of these in their (arguably) most prevalent range. And no, phasers don't cut it here.
Any others you can think of?

Ring modulation and bitcrusher.

SL-2 Slicer?

A Mooer Radar style in a RC-5 casing, with power amps, cabinets and mics simulations, impulse response and USB connection, stereo IN (2x P10) and stereo OUT (2x XRL/canon), and headphones/line OUT (stereo, of course).
A class D power amp, 30 ~ 40 ~ 50W.

I like the idea of a compact format Slicer and, for that matter, a Bitcrusher. Not keen on Ring Mod in any case, but the Mooer Radar style thing sounds useful.
I guess it's possible to cram so many things into the compact format now, given the rise of SMT and miniaturization in general.
Hey, they could even make a tape delay emulation too. Oh, wait...

I would love to see a ring modulator in a Rocker Wah case.

I wonder if they could just port all the same effects from an sp303 into a compact. Youd get the bit crusher some other miscellaneous stuff

Something completely different: When you have a PS-5 you can make Uni Vibe kind of sounds with it.
Whatever sound you can think of, or know, you can create it with a lot of the boss pedals.
I know, a dedicated Uni Vibe is not the same, still, it is good that Boss covers so much scope for getting all these sounds.
Not sure if you have a PS-5, and when you are interested in creating this kind of sound sound with a PS-5 which is after all a Pitch Shifter.

Nope. I have a Whammy DT covering pitch duties. It would have never occurred to me a PS-5 could do such a thing.

The PS-5 is a bit of a Swiss Army knife. I think most people believe the PS-6 is better in terms of harmony and pitch shifting, but then again, the PS-5 can produce some quite unique sounds.SamXTherapy wrote: ↑Thu Apr 07, 2022 11:33 pmNope. I just stumble upon some of these sounds by playing and playing and playing.
Once I know what is going on in terms of sound I often add another pedal in the mix to bring out the best of that particular sound.
