I wonder if Boss has finally made a good high gain metal pedal here. I started with the "high gain icon" known as the MT-2 and went through the whole lot ending up buying a new amp instead.

I like ML-2 for High Gain myself. More crunch. Being a high gain guy though, I would give it a try.

I'm a big fan of the ML-2.
