Ugh... now goes from and easy decision to a more considered one. Over three hundred bucks (taxes in) is wild.
If nothing else (and I'm not complaining, it's an important metric), it must give Boss a nice little bump on their ASP (average sale price).

It is listed on MF for US$229.99, so C$280 is about right.
Indeed, it is not cheap, but Fromel's Seraph Deluxe with the Chinese Xvive Audio MN3005 replica chip is listed at US$329. Boss likely priced it based on the value of the used original on the market, as well as the prices of the clones out there.
I probably will not buy the DC-2W right away, but will do so eventually. Or it could be "Hello, Santa!"
