GT-100

Post by laurie » Sat Jan 05, 2019 7:25 pm

Forgot to mention... I traded a few pedals in at the local Cash Converters and bought one of these at Christmas time.

Needed a good clean up (multiple layers of dirt and detritus) but it works perfectly and actually sounds OK.

Some of you may recall I had an AXE-FX a few years ago and unloaded it because it was "too much technical, not enough playing". But I was missing having stereo modulation and delay effects and it was too hard to update my pedal-board to be stereo. The GT-100 is a good middle-ground I think. I like it so far for noodling in stereo and it isn't getting in the way of playing. It is connected to my Dr Z Maz 18 and my Fender Twin.

And the price was right... It had been sitting on the shelf for over a year, so after trading in 3 old boring Boss pedals that I wasn't using the change-over cost was about USD$100.

also my #1 tip about the gt-100... find the system/global input level setting and try rolling that back some. All of the preamp and OD/DS gain settings seemed to go from 0 to insane very quickly until I adjusted the input level everything can actually have a very smooth range of adjustment.

Thanks for the tip! I had noticed that issue...

I've been messing around with Tone Studio. Seems quite useful.
