Early 80s DOD knob cap?

Hi guys,
My early 80s DOD 250 is missing one of those aluminium silver caps on one of the knobs. It's about 9/16" in diameter. (14mm)
Does anyone have a spare one kicking around or know of where I might find another?
Thanks.

Well, I found a similar cap from one of my old 1970s knobs. However, It's about a 16th of an inch too big!

Does anyone have an idea of how I can reduce the diameter of this cap so that it will fit? I'd like it to look like a factory part.

Update:
Well, I ended up going with the DIY route.

I bought a cheap leather hole punch kit that had a 15mm punch and hit the aluminum cap with a hammer and the hole punch.

Afterward, it was still a hair too big, so I used a 1500 grit sandpaper along the edge until it fit.  8-)

Cool! I hadn't thought that it could work with a leather punch.
