Awesome! But ... didn't you plan to move soon? What does Mrs Laurie say to your latest acquisitions? :?
Yeah... I promised I'd stop buying stuff. But when deals this good come along, how to say no? I'm doing some horse-trading of other gear that will make the net cost of this amp less than $500. How could I say no...
Well done for rescuing all these wonderful beasts..... I would be the same if there were such second hand shops over here.

Post a pick of the herd, before you pass them down the line.......

Cheers..... Simon

Here are the pics of the beast after a good cleaning.

It is 100% original except one of the wheeled castors - replaced by a previous owner years ago.

Firstly, I am a Mesa freak...

The Heartbreaker is a cool, niche outlier. It's often misjudged, but it's a cool take on both a Fender BF/SF and a MK1. It's great that it can cop older and semi-modern tones and is easily nudged into tonally wide responses with with the modes and power voicings.
Plus, it's built pretty darn well and Mesa will still honor customer service for it!

I finally decided to sell the Heartbreaker, so ran a bunch of tests on it to make sure everything weas working properly.

It has always sounded good, but maybe a bit "thin" in places.

Two of the toggle switches were malfunctioning, plus one of the input tubes was weak. Fixed all that and it is HUGE

What an amp. Am tempted to keep it, but way too much amp for me. The 18W Dr Z amps are plenty loud enough.

Well, if I were you I'd keep it for a while and play it from time to time. Then I would think again about selling it.

Yeah, you don't see many of these out there. I like them better than Twins, as they can get dirty, channel switch, voicing options...
...but don't you have a Twin?
Either way, I love Mesas.
FWIW, my "Twin" is a 1980 100W Mesa MKIIA 1x12" combo with an EVM12L. It was a UPS damage rescue. My intention was to get it back up and running and flip it. After getting it back and playing it, it stayed. I have never played a Boogie that had the iconic Black/Silver Fender clean like this. Later iterations of the Marks lost this clean tone, but did get much better dirt channels. The dirt channel of the IIA isn't all that great, it's sort of late 70s Stones/non-Marshall classic rock at best. Doesn't matter, the clean mode is where it's at and I have plenty of boosts and dirt pedals to get that!
