FWIW, my "Twin" is a 1980 100W Mesa MKIIA 1x12" combo with an EVM12L. It was a UPS damage rescue. My intention was to get it back up and running and flip it. After getting it back and playing it, it stayed. I have never played a Boogie that had
the iconic Black/Silver Fender clean like this. Later iterations of the Marks lost this clean tone, but did get much better dirt channels. The dirt channel of the IIA isn't all that great, it's sort of late 70s Stones/non-Marshall classic rock at best. Doesn't matter, the clean mode is where it's at and I have plenty of boosts and dirt pedals to get that!
