Indeed. Although I must admit that I really had liked to do some trouble-shooting. Dang!

New loot! I couldn't resist buying this triple. The old Ibanez CS9 (the battery inside was from 1994) is working great, the other two units were sold as defective/untested.

The MXR six band graphic equalizer (late 1979/early 1980 according to the numbers on the potentiometers) must have been hiding in its original box with all the goodies (!) for several decades. The foam is (of course) deteriorated and it has polluted everything inside the box. I brushed it off from the stickers, the manual, etc. before taking the pictures. This is going to be some work, because the foam has also crept into the slide potentiometers. :?

Yes, indeed! I told my wife that this was the last pedal purchase until I finally find the time to put some of my stuff up for sale. I have been on a severe spree in the last months. I haven't shown every single piece ... :?

Ha ha - I’ve been there too Pepe !

If you ever want to move this MXR EQ on when you’ve got it sorted out, please let me know as my spending spree is still ongoing and I’ve always been curious about that one :)

I will come back to that request for very sure. Since it doesn't have a footswitch I don't know where or when I should use it. Once I'm ready with the cleaning procedure, it will look like a unit that belongs in a museum.

An iconic use of the MXR 6 band is none other than Tom Scholz, he used one for creating his famous, pre-Rockman era tone.
Look at that EQ curve...

Interesting! That should result in some sort of cocked-wah sound.
