Huge thanks to Pepe for giving me the opportunity to get a mint condition vintage MXR Six Band Graphic Equalizer. Pepe has done a fantastic job cleaning it up and it works like a dream. Please see the ‘New (broken) pedal day!’ thread for more info about the rescue of this one.

Here is a photo of it along with my other, older, MXR pedals. I’ve owned three of these from new. Not an LED in sight either - those were the days !

Over the years I’ve been assembling the rig that I used when I first went on stage in the late 1970’s. This equalizer was the final piece of that. I didn’t own one at the time but had one on long term loan that, eventually, I had to give back to the owner.

I’m so pleased to have finished that little quest and thanks again to Pepe to help me do it :)

Indeed, indeed! I'm glad that the eq found a good new home after spending decades in the box with the deteriorating foam. 8-)

Great collection of MXR!
The older MXR pedals are really cool with the colorful boxes, just like older BOSS pedals.
Now they both use mostly black boxes with a splash of accent color. Not nearly as cool.

I could not agree more ! I’ve always been a fan of the boxes :D

In late July I had the pleasure to meet fuzzbuzzfuzz in person. It was an awesome afternoon in Venlo (NL) and we have had lots of fun. He had a pedal for me that I bought through him a few weeks before that day: the yellow Ken Multi MOD-SS Overdrive. Now I am a happy owner of a full set of the rare see-through Skeleton Series. And I'm very grateful that fuzzbuzzfuzz snatched them all for me in Japan. A few months before I received a parcel with the blue MCH-SS Chorus. And my first pedal, the red MDT-SS Distortion, made it to me in 2019 (I did a demo video of it).

The pedals look great (also in the dark!) and they sound awesome, especially the Overdrive which has a very natural and smooth sound. Impressive! The whole series (originally by Aria) is very underrated. Don't be fooled by plastic enclosures, dear people!

Yes, the Ken Multi see-through pedals are super special!

Now here is the repaired and cleaned Ibanez CS9 Stereo Chorus that I received a few months ago. It does now finally sound as it should.
