³²OD pedal V2
Putting together an updated version.
Legacy V1 is here: http://www.bossareaforum.com/Forum/view ... f=13&t=486
As per V1, V2 uses vintage Ge transistors to provide soft/tube-like overdrive (you can see them at the "top" of the board). This version uses a high impedance BJT as the input buffer and a 4558 opamp as the gain stage. V2 does not have a clean blend control - the DRIVE control gives much more flexibility than V1 so it isn't really needed.
It is a 1590BB box - same size as the V1, but "landscape" rather than "portrait" orientation. Box will be "raw" aluminium, labels will be laser fused titanium black.

Re: ³²OD pedal V2
It does sound interesting. I like the clean design of the enclosure too.

Re: ³²OD pedal V2
Thanks!
Yeah, I know it is "just another OD pedal", but there's a reason I've been tinkering with it in the background for most of the last year.
When I did these mods to both my old Dingotone BSDs (viewtopic.php?f=13&t=907), it became the most used pedal in my rig. Ever. It is almost always on. And because there are no more BSDs, the ³²ODV2 is a functional blend of the legacy ³²OD and some of the concepts in the BSD.
Basically, I designed it and am building it simply because I want more of that tone, and maybe share it if anyone is interested.
Set to this and never turn it off...

Re: ³²OD pedal V2
Now all I need to do is order the PCBs and parts, then get my laser engraver up and running so I can do the fused-titanium labelling.
I received one of these in January for my birthday:

Excited to see how this progresses, Laurie. Will be following along with interest.
Re: ³²OD pedal V2
Sounds like something I can use for dirty rhythm parts, and then turn up the guitar volume knob for lead.
Re: ³²OD pedal V2
Or run a boost in front of it?
