Ace Tone Rockey tube amp rebuild in pictures
An amp from 1970 picked up at the local pawn store for USD $90. I believe it is essentially a vintage Vox AC15 clone. Needs re-cap plus clean-out of the pots etc. It should work just fine after some routine maintenance... Let's get started! Rockey_sml.jpg Rockey_tubes_sml.jpg Ace_Tone_Rockey_schemat...

Re: XPEWT1 - Christmas Pedal Exchange World Tour 1
According to the Global Event Observer of our post service in Germany the situation with Canada Post will become better soon: "Mail embargo lifted following end of strike: Canada Post informs on December 13 that the embargo on mail items arriving from designated operators was lifted on November 27 ...

Re: XPEWT1 - Christmas Pedal Exchange World Tour 1
But if you three guys want to do a Canada-only exchange, that's a cool thing. In any case better than the other option. Personally, unless Laurie and Gas-man have their hearts set on it, I say Canada just sits this one out - all three of us have exchanged pedals previously, I'm almost certain. We'l...

Re: XPEWT1 - Christmas Pedal Exchange World Tour 1
The only partially elegant solution I can see is if Pepe can sort something out with the folks sending pedals to Gasgano and me, then Gasgano and I swap pedals. Or sclitheroe/Gasgano/Laurie do a three-way swap keeping it in Canada. That way maybe we would receive the package before Christmas... Just...

Re: XPEWT1 - Christmas Pedal Exchange World Tour 1
I haven't sent mine. There is just no point. It won't go anywhere. People are now physically blockading the Canada post trucks.
Pepe please remove me from the tour. If my secret santa has already sent me something we will work something out...

Re: XPEWT1 - Christmas Pedal Exchange World Tour 1
Folks - a quick update. Due to industrial action, Canada Post is now saying that international parcels may not be delivered until March 2019. Additionally, I've just had an international eBay seller cancel an order because their postal service is not accepting parcels addressed to Canada. Even for p...

Re: Boss/Fender pedals
I had the FRV-1 for a while but it was too much of a one-trick pony for my liking. Went back to using the one-trick-pony reverb built into my amp.
I did notice the prices were up when I sold the FRV-1 last year. I think I got $250 for it from memory, which seems like a LOT, but I wasn't complaining.
