Re: New Boss IR-2 Amp & Cabinet
That is a great deal.
I plan to get one of these but also plan to wait until I can snag a used one for $100-120, or to get it as a bday or xmas gift.

Re: New Boss IR-2 Amp & Cabinet
Well... Going on nearly 3 months waiting for my IR2 to arrive! Seemingly, BOSS is inbetween production runs, as many places don't have them, and they are popping up used for nearly new prices. I'm patient, been looking forward to this, and still have my two other IR 'amp' rigs in the meantime, thou...

Re: Let's see those pedalboards!
The other guitarist in my first band in the mid-90s had a Charvel like that. The fretboard width was too much for my tiny hands hehe. I did end up going through a super-strat phase about 10 years ago when I was finally able to play again after almost cutting my finger off in 2008 since they were eas...

Re: The SD2 is my favorite yellow BOSS pedal.
You can see that a lot of the electrolytic caps were changed out, a resistor or cap value change here and there and some diodes replaced some LEDs. There is also a cap/resistor parallel piggyback happening right where the two chips meet at the bottom of the board. If you look closely, the older/mod...

Re: Seized pot shafts on a pedal
If your unit looks the same inside as this one, I don't know why there is a problem to desolder it: I'm not really confident in my soldering ability to removing a board-mounted pot as I have never done it before. I have read that solder needs to hit both sides of the board or something like that? I...

Re: Seized pot shafts on a pedal
Thanks. Unfortunately these pots don't have quite the same construction of say a volume pot on a guitar, so it isn't clear where it would penetrate into the shaft with how they fit together. It is also a big pain to remove the pot. I'm worried about ruining the pot entirely since I can't source a re...

Seized pot shafts on a pedal
I received my DOD DFX94 digital sampler / delay that I bought on ebay today and the 6-way mode knob is stuck in the trigger position, rendering the pedal useless. Im not sure if it is the wiper or shaft that is stuck. I got the bulk of it refunded and have decided to try to get it working again. Deo...

Made in Taiwan Waza Craft Pedals Question
Has anyone with the early MIT BD-2W, SD-1W, or DM-2W that were made in Taiwan, inspected in Japan, ever opened up them up and checked if those are all through-hole or the mostly SMD they are doing now?
If no, is someone willing to do so and post some gut shots?
Thanks.
