Re: Notaklon kit anyone?

Got the kit today! What a mixed bag of emotions… It was great to get it after a 3 month wait. Yes! It was beyond easy to assemble. DIY level 1. It works! (Assumed) 😉 Compared it to the Han Taun, the JHS is very similar in gain and general tonality. The JHS has more output and the treble control gets...

Re: New amp day

WOW! $24 is the used price for a horrible Fender Frontman 10G.
Have always liked the Cube 15, it doesn't sound nearly as small and harsh as other amps in that 15W/1x8" configuration. The COSM dirts cover a LOT of ground!

Hmm...

Was comparing a bunch of drives the other day and discovered this. The Sonicake Rockstage 'Rock Amp" and my Han-Taun sound darn near identical with these settings (Tele-bridge pickup, any clean amp). Of course, if the tone or gain knobs start moving around on either of them (particularly the Rock Am...

This may be old news to many of you...

With the influx of a few new (& new to me) BOSS pedals and BCB6, I have been plugging in many combinations to see what to do with the BCB6. While doing this, I discovered that my JHS Morning Glory fits in a BCB6 slot perfectly , even down to how tall it stands up in the slot. The power jack and in/o...

Re: Might get a cool, early BF2!

Fired it up and compared it to it's younger brother, the green label 11-89 MIJ. Tonally, they are close enough to write off as general circuit tolerance. Visually, there are many differences. The 80 is lighter purple, the enclosure does have some different specs (the footpad part is a tough thinner,...

Re: Might get a cool, early BF2!

I landed it! Just gotta wait a month to pick it up-police hold. The velcro is annoying. It's really stuck to the label. Will have to do some delicate surgery when it comes home. An alternative to risking the bottom label would be to keep an eye out for something on the cheap with a “use a coin” bot...

Eclipse music looks like a great shop!
My sister lives in Apple Valley, I will have to visit that store when I visit her.

Re: BCB-6G?

I really wish I could find a BCB6G, being able to directly patch to the side jacks on the outside pedals would be optimal for my next idea. However, NPBD ! This BCB6/PSM5/full Mogami cable package popped up locally for $100US. Being a BOSS bargain junkie, it was a no brainer to scoop it up. It’s tim...
