Re: Effects Boss haven't done in compact format
Nope. I have a Whammy DT covering pitch duties. It would have never occurred to me a PS-5 could do such a thing. The PS-5 is a bit of a Swiss Army knife. I think most people believe the PS-6 is better in terms of harmony and pitch shifting, but then again, the PS-5 can produce some quite unique sou...

Re: DC2 vs DC3
Bigtone, need to check out what is was about the Crunch mode that I do not like. I used to prefer it over the Lead tone when I was first introduced to the SD-2. Maybe it is just the fact that the Lead mode gives you a more unusual sound compared to any other of the Boss dirt pedals, but again, I wil...

Re: Cool video
That is indeed great on many levels:
Will this be the future for music when the machines take over?
Was the music composed by a computer?
Towards the end it seems that the robots protest and start smashing things up out of anger or frustration for lack of control.

Re: Effects Boss haven't done in compact format
I can't think of a single example of a Uni Vibe type in the compact series. They covered many bases but this, IMO, is a serious omission. I guess you could say Leslie sim, too. I know many effects are covered in their other boxes, but it seems strange they never bothered with either of these in the...

Re: DC2 vs DC3
I got the setting and it is fairly simple: Lead Tone, Level: Depending on level amp, Tone: dial in fairly dark tone, I had it at 4----5 is tone control half open---- Drive: All the way down, open it up and the sound becomes tighter and more modern. Keeping the drive down gives is a kind of old schoo...

Re: DC2 vs DC3
Glad to hear you like the SD2 and DC3 bigtone23 I will see if I can find the settings for that Hiwatt sound I mentioned before, will also see if I the SD2 is consistent in producing that sound with different amps. I think you should be able to obtain that sound from any amp, but will check as I cann...

Re: DC2 vs DC3
I am a little late here, anyway, and you also have your DC-3. I also prefer the DC-3, and as the Doc. mentioned before, you do need to turn the level up further than usual to get the sound noticed. DC-2 is very overrated I think, DC-3 does not sound like any of the chorus's you already have. What ab...

Re: Fleetwood strat
What I find fascinating is that they make those cheaper strats look like older strats, just look at how many screws there are on the scratch plate. I have come across this many times. Often the pick ups do have more volume compared to vintage instruments, how are yours on this one Laurie? Detail is ...

Re: Fender "Evil Twin" (The Twin) amp - thoughts?
I have a chance to pick one up reasonably priced. Anyone have one or have used one? Thoughts? Have used them many times in the early 90s, as that was the amp you saw in venues when people could not bring their own amp. I believe it is the one with the red controls, but not sure. I think the differe...
