Re: Bossarea Forum Archive

Our forum veterans might sigh with nostalgia when they see this logo. https://pepemusic.de/bossarea_forum_archive/localhost_8080/logo_bossareaforum.gif Almost six years ago, the owner of the first version of our beloved forum - registered here as "formerly_bossarea" - sent me the backup of the old ...

Re: EHX Big Muff 2

They certainly look very tempting.  (There was also a special edition of the big box in Yellow for Third Man Records). If I didn't already have a complement of Muffs I would be tempted with the smaller green Bass unit (clean blend!) or the Tone WIcker mid-size. Both look aesthetically pleasing and o...

Re: BOSS DM-101 Delay Machine

Thanks BearBoy for the feedback.

I will keep my eyes open for one at a good price point. The other day I missed an actual DM-1 for a low enough price, oh my lord the pain!

On the other hand I've just got my Space Echo Re-150 working, magic!

BOSS DM-101 Delay Machine

I was just talking to a colleague re: Roland delay units, he was mulling between the RE-2 and the RE-202. I causally mentioned he should just check out the DM-101 as that shares the same layout format of the latter. This led me to have a browse on the DM, and - WOW - I never knew this was analog?! :...

Re: New Non-BOSS Pedals

Brain fart  .

I do wonder if it was a deliberate move by Arion to ape the Aria name a little to confuse the customer base enough to purchase...way back when.

Yes, I'll hunt for another one at somepoint, they really are thin on the ground.

Re: How can we breathe some life back into the forum?

One issue i see is that there isn't enough users on this site. I don't think 550 users is enough. I last logged in on 5/11/26 it's been a whole day and there wasn't one new/unread post for me. The newest member joined on 5/11/26 and hasn't posted. I wish i could do more to help, but i feel forums a...

Re: How can we breathe some life back into the forum?

The most useful feature of a fourm over Instagram and FB etc, is that on those post sites, posts simply dissapere, swallowed in the void. There(s nno organisation and topics quickly spiral out and off topic. On forums (and this one in particualr) topics and useful matters (technical repair tips) etc...

Re: New Non-BOSS Pedals

There's some excellent "sleepers" (ATO-1. SPH-1, SAD-1) and well regarded classics (such as the SCH-1) amongst the Arion range.

And of course they often included the clean output as well as effected which is a useful touch.

Re: New Non-BOSS Pedals

What a fabulous stash to acquire Pepe, for so cheap, and coupled with your skills, back to life! Fascinating set. Curious anomalies too, such as the Monarch colour/build country and knobs. I have the Arion, the broken knob inside frustrates me greatly! Remarkable score on the early grey Phaser, they...

Re: How can we breathe some life back into the forum?

If it could be improved in a small but constructive way, for me, time is quite linited and I'd love to be able to post photos without having to resort to thrid party image resizors before guessing whether it will upload, or not here. The time consuming aspect kills my appetite. Otherwise, I kind of ...
