Re: Does anyone know of a UK based repairer who can fix a BF-2?
Thank you for the info but I really don't trust myself to do anything with it. I *was* reasonably competent with a soldering iron, but age and failing eyes have taken their toll. I'd much rather someone else did it.

Does anyone know of a UK based repairer who can fix a BF-2?
I have a silver screw BF-2 which I bought from Reverb a few years ago, and is beginning to show its age. The switch is hit and miss, the signal dies away periodically and it's generally flakey all round. I cleaned the input/output jacks and have it running at 12v from my power supply (TrueTone 1Spot...

I don't mind the look of it but I'm wondering how the functionality of the 4 control pedals is affected by the layout.
From an aesthetics standpoint, I rather like the blue control knobs.

Re: New Boss Pedal - Plugout FX PX-1
Not my thing but I can see it finding a use with some people.
I note it includes (as a download) the BF-2. Nice one, Boss, now can we have the real thing, pretty please with sugar on?
A BF-2w would be a great stocking filler for Christmas.

Re: What Has Happened To Boss Manuals?
The DD-8 manual is a joke, too. It's very basic, and makes no mention of some of the important and useful functions. They're detailed in a downloadable version, fortunately.

Finally got myself a DD-8. Also got an EV-30 expression pedal which I'm using with my RV-6. Both of them do a great job but... The manual(s) for the DD-8 ain't great, even by Boss standards. The Warp mode, for example... there's absolutely no mention anywhere of using the foot switch to create the e...

Re: Blank Baseplates
I think it's high time the pedals were supplied without the rubber attached, but included if you really wanted to stick it on.
I get the idea behind the new bases - did you notice the previous version had even less space than the originals? - but it's not ideal.

Blank Baseplates
Everybody knows the old "flip over the plate" method, which doesn't work on many pedals, and everyone probably knows about the bike chain links method, too. I have several pedals which don't like having the base flipped over and the bike chain thing never appealed to me. I like the immediacy of Dual...
